Rubber-Seal started in 1948 focused on providing solutions to the automotive aftermarket for repairing wind and water leaks in domestic vehicles. As the wind and water issues were addressed at the OEM level, Rubber-Seal shifted their focus to developing and manufacturing products to solve a wide variety of issues facing the automotive aftermarket. Rubber-Seal has always adapted and changed to meet the needs of the ever-changing automotive aftermarket. As a result, Rubber-Seal Medallion Refinish System is now a large manufacturer of aftermarket coatings and repair products.
Our mission is to develop, manufacture and distribute high quality solutions that improve repair shop processes and maximize profit for technicians operating in the automotive aftermarket.
Our mission is achieved through a combination of uniquely tailored services and implementation of lean operations. We interact extensively with collision shop owners, managers, and technicians to discover the difficulties they experience, and then our chemists go to work developing solutions to solve those problems. To further set apart our services from competitors we offer customers the opportunity to speak with technical experts whenever there are questions regarding the application of our coatings. The manufacturing process uses only quality materials to guarantee final products create an exceptional finish. Maintaining consistent quality in our products is vital to success, which is why we choose to manufacture in smaller batch yields. This ensures that products haven’t been lying dormant for months before being used. Next, we implement a lean operating structure that eliminates unnecessary managers, distributors, salespeople, and ultimately costs that are typically passed to the end user.
Rubber-Seal Products uses two distribution processes. First, we have independent reps that call directly on collision repair shops. These reps demonstrate our products offerings and file orders for customers, which are sent directly to the company. Orders are fulfilled from one of our four company owned warehouses located in Dayton Ohio, Houston Texas, Cincinnati Ohio, and Atlanta Georgia. Second, we use direct distributors. Distributors purchase products from Rubber-Seal, warehouse them, and deliver the products billing their customers directly. We also distribute on a jobber direct basis for our customers in 11 western states.
